He was born in porbandar in 1869.We lovingly call him "Bapu" .                          Karamchand Gandhi was his father and Putlibai was his mother.His wife's name  was Kasturba. He studied in Rajkot and Bhavnagar. He believed in truth and non-violence.He followed his principles throughout his life.He also believed in simplicity and equality.He lived a simple life and loved everyone equally. Bapu always lived like the poor people.                            He was a national leader.He played a major role in india's freedom movement.We call him " The Father Of The Nation " .
